Ascotiensis, named after the place where it was raised, the small town of Ascot in Berkshire, England has beautiful mid blue flowers with white stamens. At 5-7″ (12-17cm) these gorgeous flowers are very large especially for a continuous summer bloomer. This is a late-flowering clematis with a nice shaped flower more reminiscent of a large early flowering hybrid than a type that grows in one season and flowers from July through to September.
